Three easy steps to multiply your impact and reach out to the underserved populations: What you will learn at the Promise of Project ECHO workshop
Are you wondering how attending the Summit will help you improve your programs or develop new ones? Besides networking and learning from others, during the Promise of Project ECHO workshop, we will share with you the following three meaningful and tangible things you can do to make your programs more sustainable and impactful.
You may have heard about Project ECHO and how it may be used to extend the reach of your programs and build capacity. Perhaps you or your colleagues already operate a Project ECHO program. Or maybe you don’t know much about Project ECHO and are interested to hear more. Regardless of where on this spectrum you are, we hope to see you at the Project ECHO workshop on Friday afternoon.
Step one: Identify a community need and partner with a diverse team of people at your institution and in the community
Easier said than done - but during the workshop we will explore the strategies and skills that are needed to launch and run a successful ECHO program.
Step two: Set clear expectations for all involved
During the early stages of developing your program, make sure you have a clear understanding of the individual roles within your team, and for your partners. Colleagues at your institution and in the community are busy clinicians, so make sure you are clear on what is expected from them and what they can expect in return.
Step three: Brainstorm and reiterate
Building a successful ECHO program requires constant attention to ensure that you are providing a valuable ‘product’ for your colleagues at home and in the community. After the workshop, we will provide a brainstorming tool and will be happy to schedule a follow-up session to go through some of the next steps to build and implement a successful program.
We look forward to meeting everyone there!
