Patrick Brandt
Patrick Brandt is the President of Shiftsmart, Inc. He joined the Shiftsmart team in October of 2016. A veteran enterprise software entrepreneur and executive, Brandt has a proven track record of leading companies through rapid growth and expansion.
Additionally, Brandt also serves as the Chairman of One Day. And prior to serving as President at Shiftsmart, Brandt was the Chairman and CEO of Zimbra, Inc. (formerly Telligent) from 2009 to 2015 where he successfully sold Zimbra to Synacor and Telligent to Verint Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT). Brandt was also the founder and CEO of Skywire Software in 2000. During his eight-year tenure at Skywire Software, Brandt led the company through organic growth and 11 acquisitions, including the leveraged buyout of Docucorp (NASDAQ: DOCC) in 2007. By 2008, the market-leading vertical software company employed more than 600 people and served more than 2,400 customers in 45 countries. In July of 2008, Brandt led and negotiated the sale of Skywire Software's enterprise software business to Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) and Skywire Software’s BPO business to Kubra, a private-equity backed outsourcer. Brandt remained on the Board of Directors, and served as Chairman of iWave Software, a spin-off of Skywire Software, until its sale to EMC (NYSE: EMC) in December 2012.
An active community volunteer, Brandt serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations focused on promoting education and entrepreneurship among at-risk youth, and encouraging philanthropy to emerging and established companies. Brandt is an active board member of Education is Freedom and member of the North Texas Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (“YPO”) where he served as Chairman from 2016-2017. Prior Brandt was the founding director of the National Foundation of Teaching Entrepreneurship Greater Dallas Chapter, Chairman of the Board of Entrepreneurs For North Texas and a board member of American Red Cross in Dallas.
Brandt has also earned several accolades for his business acumen, leadership, and community service, some of which include: the Ernst & Young 2008 Southwest Area Entrepreneur of the Year Award®, the 2008 Tech Titans Corporate CEO Award, the 2006 Ellis Award from the Entrepreneur Foundation of North Texas, and the 2004 Tech Titans Emerging CEO Award. Brandt earned his Bachelor's of Science in Economics and Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Patrick and his family reside in Dallas, Texas. He is an avid skier and mountain biker; and loves to spend time in Park City, Utah. If he is not on the phone, you can find him on a soccer or baseball field cheering (and sometimes coaching) his son and daughter.
