Scholarship Application

We are thrilled to be able to provide Summit scholarships to a selection of individuals for this year’s event.

Please review the following scholarship criteria and apply no later than August 30, 2024 to be considered for this award. Your application is the only information that influences our decision when selecting recipients, so please answer each question concisely and thoroughly. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship status on or before September 6, 2024.

This scholarship covers the cost of registration and lunch for the Healthier Texas Summit for those selected. Please note that travel expenses are not included.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Employed full or part-time by:

A non-profit organization
State, local, tribal, or federal government, or military
Current K-12 Educator or School Administrator
Unemployed and/or a full-time student of Community and/or Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Medicine, and Public Policy

Additionally, applicants are required to submit:

An essay of approximately 1,000 words describing what you hope to gain from attending the summit.
A 500-word explanation of financial need.

Prepare Your Essay: Write an essay of approximately 1,000 words detailing what you hope to gain from attending the Healthier Texas Summit. Share your aspirations, how this experience will enhance your career or studies, and the impact you aim to make in your community or field.

Explain Your Financial Need: In 500 words, provide a clear and compelling explanation of your financial need. Highlight any circumstances that make it difficult for you to attend without financial assistance.

Submit Your Application: Complete the application form and upload your essay and financial need statement.
