Ben received a Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and Master of Divinity in 1987; both from Texas Christian University. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with 33 years of experience in the parish setting. In 2014, Ben received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Angelo State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
He is oriented in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has received training from both The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Philadelphia, PA and Christine Padesky, renown psychologist in the field of CBT.

Dr. Leslie A. Weisberg serves as the Market chief medical officer of Southwest Texas for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX). She works closely with partners and programs in local communities to improve public health along with providing expertise to network and sales and account management teams. She most recently served as executive medical director where she developed the Clinical Claims Integrity Unit, a program designed to ensure members receive the right care delivered at the right place at the right price.

Dr. Nishi Viswanathan is a medical doctor turned cancer researcher turned entrepreneur & business professional. She is the director of Texas Health Catalyst (THC), a program that advances promising healthcare solutions from idea to impact. Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Nishi was the Director of Marketing and Business Development at a nanotechnology startup that developed theranostic solutions for cancer imaging and drug delivery. Over the past decade, she has worked with the bioscience division of Austin Technology Incubator and consulted with several life science startups including university spinouts, helping with strategy, business planning and fundraising. In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Master’s degree from the College of Natural Sciences at UT Austin and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.

Meme (mee-mee) Styles, is the President and Founder of the award-winning nonprofit MEASURE, a public education & advocacy organization that empowers people to use data to tell their own story. Mrs. Styles created MEASURE in 2015 to build trust and measurable progress between people and institutions that serve them. Today, MEASURE is responsible for mobilizing communities that are furthest from opportunity to fight against systemic disparities in health, economics, criminalization & education through the CARE Model.

Dr. Eduardo Sanchez serves as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Prevention for the American Heart Association (AHA), is the AHA lead on COVID-19 and KnowDiabetesbyHeartTM (an initiative with the American Diabetes Association). Prior to joining AHA, he served as Vice President and CMO for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) and before that, he served as director of the Institute for Health Policy at the University of Texas (UT) School of Public health. Dr. Sanchez served as Commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services from 2004 to 2006 and Commissioner of the Texas Department of Health from 2001 to 2004. He oversaw the SARS response in 2003-04, the flu vaccine shortage of 2004, and the response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. He served as the local public health officer in Austin-Travis County from 1994 to 1998. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Trust for America’s Health. He has served on numerous health-related boards and advisory committees at the local, state and national levels. From 2008 to 2012, he served as chair of the Advisory Committee to the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Sanchez obtained his M.D. from the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, an M.P.H. from the UT Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health, and an M.S. in biomedical engineering from Duke University. He holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering and a B.A. in chemistry from Boston University. Dr. Sanchez is board certified in family medicine.

Suzii Paynter March is a graduate of Baylor University, with a lifetime of experience in organizational leadership and public advocacy. In September 2019, Suzii became executive director of Prosper Waco. Suzii has held advocacy and leadership roles with the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory, the Christian Life Commission, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and Pastors for Texas Children. Through these endeavors and her affiliations with many other associations and groups, she has worked on issues ranging from education to poverty to prison reform. Suzii’s recent work with Pastors for Texas Children has been recognized for advancing education funding in the 2019 legislative session. For ten years, she has helped vulnerable people recover from and prevent predatory lending. She has been honored as a distinguished alumnus of Baylor University and holds an honorary doctorate from Dallas Baptist University. Her personal honors include recognition for her work in ethics and cross-cultural and women’s leadership. In addition to her Baylor and doctorate degrees, Suzii holds a master’s degree in education from Stephen F. Austin University. She is married to another outstanding Baylor alumnus and long-time resident of Waco, Ben March.

Ricardo Nuila is a doctor, writer, and associate professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where he teaches hospital medicine and medical humanities. His articles on health disparities have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Texas Monthly, and The New England Journal of Medicine. For his work, Ricardo has earned fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, the Logan Nonfiction Program, and from the Texas Institute of Letters, which provided him a four month residency with his family on the beautiful 250 acre Dobie Paisano Ranch in the bluff-topped hills of Austin. Ricardo’s first book, “The People’s Hospital: Stories and Lessons From a Safety Net Healthcare System” will be published by Scribner in 2021.

Daphne McGee is a Staff Attorney in the Medical-Legal Partnerships (MLP) program at Texas Legal Services Center. Daphne works collaboratively with providers of the MLP’s partner clinics to improve the health and quality of life of clinic patients and their families. Daphne completed a dual Law and Master of Public Health degree program at Emory University in Atlanta.

Shara McClure knows Texas health care. A native Texan and proud Texas A&M University graduate, she leads health care delivery operations for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), which offers the broadest provider network in the state covering all 254 counties. Having represented multiple health plans, physician organizations, and hospitals prior to her tenure at BCBSTX, Shara’s unwavering commitment to both improve and protect the physical and financial health of Texas has bolstered her reputation as an executive thought leader.
